Fortune Financial Services India Ltd (Manager to the Buyback Offer) on behalf of Natco Pharma Ltd (Target Company) has issued this Updates on Public Announcement to the Equity Shareholders / Beneficial Owners of the equity Shares of Target Company which is in continuation of and should be read in conjunction with the Public Announcement dated September 04, 2006, September 09, 2006 and January 31, 2007 respectively. Pursuant to Securities and Exchange Board of India (Buy-back of securities) Regulations, 1998 ("SEBI Buy-back Regulations"). The shareholders of the Target Company are requested to note the following:

During the fortnight ended July 02, 2007, Target Company has bought back 201,731 Equity Shares on Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd (BSE) for a total consideration of Rs 287.28 lacs and as on July 02, 2007, 472,881 Equity Shares for the total consideration of Rs 670.95 lacs. Further, as on July 02, 2007, the Company, by executing corporate action, had extinguished 318,768 Equity Shares.
