Union Bank of India Reports Strong FY26 Growth: RAM Advances Surge 12.6%

Union Bank of India has released its provisional operational update for the financial year ending March 31, 2026, showcasing a robust expansion in its lending portfolio and a significant improvement in its deposit profile. The bank's total global business reached a new height of ₹23.86 trillion, marking a steady recovery and growth trajectory.

A standout highlight of the year was the performance of the RAM (Retail, Agriculture, and MSME) segment. Domestic RAM advances grew by 12.59% Year-on-Year (YoY) to reach ₹5.99 trillion, indicating the bank's successful focus on high-yield and priority sectors. Overall, Total Global Advances saw a healthy increase of 9.76% YoY, crossing the ₹10.7 trillion mark.

Key Financial Highlights

Lending Momentum: Total Domestic Advances outperformed global figures with a 10.06% YoY growth, reaching ₹10.41 trillion. The bank maintained a strong Credit-to-Deposit (C/D) ratio, which improved by over 500 basis points annually to approximately 80%.

Deposit Strength: Global Deposits stood at ₹13.07 trillion. More importantly, the bank saw a sharp improvement in its low-cost deposit base. Domestic CASA Deposits grew by 7.90% YoY, with a remarkable 10.82% surge in the final quarter alone.

CASA Ratio: The CASA percentage improved significantly to 35.21%, up by 169 basis points compared to March 2025, reflecting better liquidity management and customer engagement.
