Adani Power Secures Massive 2,500 MW Renewable Energy Contract from MSEDCL

Adani Power Limited (APL) has announced a significant win in the clean energy sector, receiving a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL). The contract, awarded following a successful bid in an electronic reverse auction (e-RA), marks a major step in the company's commitment to sustainable power solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, Adani Power will supply 2,500 MW of Renewable Energy Round-the-Clock (RE RTC) power. This "Round-the-Clock" structure is particularly notable as it ensures a consistent and steady supply of green energy, addressing the intermittent nature typically associated with solar and wind power.

The power supply agreement is slated for a long-term duration of 25 years from the Scheduled Commencement Date. This domestic contract reinforces Adani Power's pivotal role in supporting Maharashtra's growing energy demands through renewable sources. The company confirmed that the LoA was received late in the evening on April 1, 2026.
