State-owned construction major NBCC (India) Limited has secured three new domestic infrastructure work orders collectively valued at approximately ₹132.28 crores (excluding GST). The contracts encompass institutional and sports infrastructure development across the states of Assam and Odisha.
All three contracts were won in the ordinary course of business under the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model.
Dual Educational Campus Mandates in Assam
The largest share of the new order book comes from the education sector via the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. NBCC has been tasked with building two permanent school campuses in Assam, valued identically:
South Salmara Campus: Construction of a permanent campus for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in the South Salmara district of Assam. The project carries an estimated value of ₹55.46 crores.
West Karbi Anglong Campus: A parallel project of identical scope for the construction of a permanent JNV campus in the West Karbi Anglong district of Assam, also valued at ₹55.46 crores.
Sports Infrastructure Development in Odisha
The third mandate is focused on bolstering regional sports housing infrastructure in eastern India:
Sambalpur Sports Hostel: NBCC has been awarded a contract by the Sports & Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha, to construct a 200-bedded Sports Hostel in Sambalpur.
Location & Value: The new residential facility will be built adjacent to the existing Dr. Jhasaketan Sahu Swimming Pool in Sambalpur. The estimated value of this PMC project is ₹21.36 crores.
