Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd, one of the leading stainlesssteel pipes / tubes manufacturers and exporters along with fittings in India announced commencement of its additional 6.1 MW DC solar power unit, further strengthening its focus on renewable energy and cost efficiency.
The company has invested approximately Rs. 22 crores in the new solar power unit, which is expected to generate annual power cost savings of approximately Rs. 6 crores. With the commissioning of this additional capacity, the company's total solar power capacity now stands at 7.4 MW DC.
The solar power expansion is expected to reduce the company's dependence on conventional power sources while supporting its long-term objective of improving energy efficiency and reducing its overall power costs. The initiative also reinforces company's commitment towards sustainable manufacturing and increasing the share of renewable energy in its operations.
