Ankur Drugs signs Technology agreement with Labtec GmbH, Germany and Applied Pharma Research

Ankur Drugs & Pharma Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has signed the Technology Agreement with Labtec GmbH, Germany and Applied Pharma Research, S.A., Switzerland for manufacturing and marketing of "Rapid Film" formulations for following Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API):

(i) Ondansetrone
(ii) Donepezil - HCl
(iii) Ketotifien Fumarate
(iv) Baclofen
(v) Rivastigmine
(vi) Sildenafil Citrate
(vii) Flimepiride
(viii) Olanzapine

The commercial terms and conditions are agreed at the down payment of Euros 2.00 million and royalty at the rate of 3% on Gross Sales of Licensed Products for 15 marketing years.

Territories Included: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

The Company has further informed BSE that it has signed the Technology Agreement with Labtec GmbH, Germany and Applied Pharma Research, S.A. Switzerland for manufacturing and marketing of "Cold Fleece" Patches to be applied on clothes over the upper chest and releasing volatile oils in the air to make breath easier with the down payment of Euros 0.3 million and royalty at the rate of 5% to be paid on Gross Sales of Licensed Products for initial 15 marketing years.

Territories Included: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

The Company has further informed that it has also signed the Technology Agreement with Labtec GmbH, Germany for manufacturing and marketing of "Fentanyl" Transdermal Patches in the strength / release rates of 25 mcg/hr, 50 mcg/hr, 75 mcg/hr and l00 mcg/hr at the down payment of Euros 1.00 million and royalty at the rate of 5% to be paid on Gross Sales of Licensed Products for 1st 7 1/2 marketing years and thereafter 3% on Gross Sales for remaining marketing years.

Territories Included:

(A) South East Asia : India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Casachstan, North Korea, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Timor-leste, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.

(B) Africa All countries of South Africa; West Africa, East Africa and Central Africa; not included is North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Western Sahara)

The Company will be first ever Indian company launching "Rapid film" in India and other territories. The exclusive manufacturing right has been granted for years, for the territories Viz. India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Afghanistan.

Commercial launch of these products are expected to start in January 2008.
