Nicholas Piramal India Ltd has announced the Audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007.
The results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a profit after tax & exceptional items of Rs 269.20 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 375.90 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 3431.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 3872.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.
The results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a profit after tax & exceptional items of Rs 1882.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1703.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 14494.40 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 16398.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.
The Unaudited consolidated results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a consolidated profit after prior period items of Rs 549.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 151.70 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 6452.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 4331.60 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006.
The Audited consolidated results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a consolidated profit after prior period items of Rs 2180.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 1206.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 24723.20 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 16226.20 million for the year ended March 31, 2006.
The consolidated results for the current quarter and the year ended March 31, 2007 are not strictly comparable with the results of the corresponding previous period and year ended March 31, 2006 as they:
a. Include the operations of NPIL Pharmaceuticals (UK) Ltd, UK and Torcan Chemical Ltd, Canada which were acquired on December 02, 2005 for the whole year.
b. Include the operations of Morpeth manufacturing facility acquired from Pfizer on June 19, 2006.
c. Include the operations of Nicholas Piramal Consumer Products Pvt Ltd (erstwhile Boots Piramal Pvt Ltd) as wholly owned subsidiary from September 29, 2006.
d. Include the operations of NPIL - Dr. Phadke Pathology and Infertility Center Pvt Ltd as wholly owned subsidiary from July 14, 2006.
