IL&FS Investsmart Board recommends 25% dividend, appoints Leslie Whiteford as MD & CEO

The Board of Directors of IL&FS Investsmart Ltd at its meeting held on April 25, 2007 has recommended a Dividend of Rs 2.50 per share on equity shares of Rs 10/- each for the Financial Year ended March 31, 2007.

The Board approved the appointment of Mr. Leslie Whiteford as Managing Director & CEO of the Company w.e.f. May 01, 2007 subject to necessary statutory approvals, in place of Mr. Ramesh Bawa, who has tendered his resignation as Managing Director & CEO w.e.f. the closure of the working hours on April 30, 2007. Mr. Bawa would continue on the Board as a director.

The stock closed the day at Rs.194.90, up by Rs.6.70 or 3.56%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.194.90 and low of Rs.185.10. The total traded quantity was 2695 compared to 2 week average of 1988.
