Bharat Electronics Updates on order announcement

With reference to the earlier Announcement dated April 17, 2007 Bharat Electronics Ltd has announced that the line reading 'Another order has been received from Karnataka State Election Commission for 3,500 numbers for use in the local body elections' in the said Press Release, in the paragraph referring to the Upgraded Electronic Voting Machine, should read as, "Orders have also been received from State Election Commissions including those of Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Haryana".

The stock closed the day at Rs.1717.05, down by Rs.16.35 or 0.94%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1759.90 and low of Rs.1706.15. The total traded quantity was 34042 shares compared to 2 week average of 56305.
