Tata Elxsi announces Q4 net profit of Rs.160.361 million, total income at Rs.892.002 million

Tata Elxsi Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 160.361 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 115.561 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 711.276 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 892.002 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 521.169 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 343.284 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2363.130 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 3083.869 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The stock closed the day at Rs.329.30, down by Re.0.60 or 0.18%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.343.50 and low of Rs.326. The total traded quantity was 159412 shares compared to 2 week average of 102035.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on April 20, 2007, inter alia, has recommended dividend @ 70% (Rs 7/- per share of Rs 10/- each) on the paid-up capital of the Company for the year ended March 31, 2007.
