JSW Steel furnace recommences production

With reference to the earlier announcement dated February 19, 2007 regarding shut down of one of the furnaces due to certain fire in cables on February 15, 2007 for an estimated period of 30-60 days to undertake necessary capital repairs, JSW Steel Ltd has announced that the Company has completed the repair work on the said Furnace and recommenced production from April 12, 2007.

The stock closed at Rs.560.20, down by Rs.18.65 or 3.22%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.587.80 and low of Rs.556.05. The total traded quantity was 203207 compared to 2 week average of 249506.
