TCS announces Rs.4 dividend

The Board of Directors of Tata Consultancy Services Limited at their meeting held on April 16, 2007, have recommended a Final Dividend of Rs.4/- per equity share of Rs. 1/- each of the Company for approval by the shareholders of the Company at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company.

The total dividend for 2006-07 is at Rs.11.50 per share (FY 2006 - Rs.6.75 per share) including the above declared divided of Rs.4.

The stock closed the day at Rs.1280.10, up by Rs.17.45 or 1.38%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1310 and low of Rs.1270.50. The total traded quantity was 642427 shares compared to 2 week average of 276965.
