Redington India enters into agreement with Apple Computer International, Bangalore

Redington India Ltd has announced that the Company has entered into a Distributor Agreement with Apple Computer International Pvt Ltd., Bangalore (Apple Computer) for distribution of their range of products in India.

The product range would include Music segment viz. iPods and Finished Goods segment viz, desktop and notebooks powered by Macintosh.

"Apple" is a well known brand world-wide. This new partnership with Apple Computer is part of Redington's initiative to foray into new verticals and business lines.

Apple Computer has recently announced that the 100 millionth iPod has been sold, making the iPod the fastest selling music player in history. Redington would partner Apple Computer in distributing the iPods in India to attract the young music loving generation.

The stock closed the day at Rs.143.45, down by Rs.4 or 2.71%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.149.50 and low of Rs.142.10. The total traded quantity was 318772 compared to 2 week average of 177434.
