Tata Steel Board to discuss fund raising proposal

Tata Steel Ltd has announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on April 17, 2007, to consider possible proposals for raising equity funds as part of its long-term fund raising exercise to finance the Company's investment in the SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) for acquiring Corus Group Plc, UK.
