UTV Software announces changes in top management

UTV Software Communications Ltd has announced about the three strategic changes in the overall top management of the Company.
1. Mr. Ronald D’Mello will take over as CEO, UTV-UK which will house all or UTV's New Media initiatives including its Animation business (UTV Toons), its Post Production and SFX business (UTV Post) as well as the recent controlling investment in "Ignition UK" (Console Game development and publishing Company) and "India Games" (India's leading Mobile and Online Gaming Company) the controlling interest of which the Company is acquiring.
Mr. D'Mello will spearhead the growth and strategy on the New Media business vertical of the Company and will be based in UK and India as required. He will continue to be on the Board of Directors of the parent Company UTV and report to the Group Chairman.
2. Zarina Mehta will take charge as CEO, GenX Ltd - the Youth Subsidiary of the Company which houses the Brand Bindass, and its related Channels and businesses relating to the youth activity including Web, Gaming, Events, etc.
Zarina will continue to be on the Board of Directors of parent company UTV and report to the Group Chairman.
3. Mr. Shantonu Aditya as Executive Director of newly formed Subsidiary UTV Broadcasting Ltd and CEO of V&S Broadcasting Ltd to perform two key tasks.
a. In UTV Broadcasting Ltd, he will set up the entire Distribution Bouquet of the UTV Group’s forthcoming broadcast initiatives - including the already announced Bindaas and Olive Channels, Furthermore Shantonu Aditya will be responsible for strategic initiatives in Broadcasting including identification of JV Partners
b. In V&S Broadcasting Ltd, Mr. Shantonu Aditya will head the launch and running of Variety, Entertainment and Speciality Channels, the details of which will be announced in due course.
The Company is in the process of initiating over 10 broadcasting channels over the next 18 to 24 months as such new media comprising of animation and gaming business will be anchored from our subsidiary UTV UK Ltd.
