Hexaware Technologies Ltd has announced that on April 03, 2007 the Company has inaugurated its fourth development centre in India. Located in Cyber Park, Gurgaon, the new 12,949 sq.ft centre is the first centre for the Company in North India. Mr. Kiran Karnik, President, NASSCOM was the Chief Guest at the inauguration.
The Gurgaon centre will provide testing services, ERP services, Product Engineering Services and Travel-Transportation-Hotel-Logistic (TTHL) services. Currently the centre has a seating capacity for about 150 professionals.
"The Gurgaon Development Centre will enable Hexaware to tap the immense IT talent in North India. In the first phase the centre has a capacity for 150 people which will be ramped up in phases to accommodate more than 1000 people in the next two-three years," said Mr. Atul Nishar, Founder and Chairman, of the Company.
Mr. V B Singh has been appointed as the head of the new centre. He was earlier heading the Mainframe Competency Unit at Mumbai.
The Company currently globally employs close to 6000 professionals. The Company has six global delivery centers - four in India, including the newly opened centre in Gurgaon and one each in Germany and Mexico.
Last year the Company had commenced work on its Chennai Campus and it is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2007. Besides this, the Company has also acquired 25 acres of land in Hinjewadi Phase III SEZ and another 14 acres in New Mumbai to build state-of-the-art Campuses.
According to India's National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), the premier organization that represents and sets the tone for public policy for the Indian software industry, the Company is the twelfth largest IT Software and Service exporter in India.
The Company also has the distinction of being among India's best employers and is ranked No 6 on Dataquest-IDC's Annual Best Employer Survey last year.
