Shree Renuka Sugars Limited commences crushing operations at green-field Athani unit

Shree Renuka Sugars Limited has announced that "The completion of its green-field plant and commencement of crushing operations at Athani. The plant has a capacity of 6000 tcd (tons of cane per day).

In view of the uncertainty of time for final notification of SEZ unit and the extension of fiscal incentives envisaged under the scheme, the Company has decided to operate its Athani plant as a domestic tariff area (DTA) unit".

In NSE, the shares were trading at Rs.304, up by 4.5% over its previous close of Rs.290.95.
