Punjab National Bank Q3 profits at Rs.4298.70 million, declares 40% interim dividend

Punjab National Bank has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2006:
The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 4298.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 3704.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 26975.80 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 32713.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.
The Board of Directors of the Bank has declared an interim Dividend @ 40% i.e. Rs 4/- per share for the F.Y. 2006-07.
Further the Bank has informed that, February 15, 2007 has been fixed as the Record Date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend and the date of payment shall be March 02, 2007.
