Wipro allots 103269 Equity Shares

Wipro Ltd has announced that the Administrative Committee of the Company's Board of Directors at their Meeting held on November 02, 2009 resolved to issue and allot 103269 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005.

The Administrative Committee of the Company's Board of Directors vide Circular resolution dated November 02, 2009 allotted 66465 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the Company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under the Company's ADS Restricted Stock Unit Plan- 2004.

The stock was trading at Rs.602.35, down by Rs.5.30 or 0.87%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.609 and low of Rs.589.05.

The total traded quantity was 88717 compared to 2 week average of 252847.
