With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled "Punj plans refinery in Russia", Punj Lloyd Ltd has clarified that:

1. As clarified by the Chairman of the Company in the article, the Company evaluates various opportunities around the world. However, as of now, there are no definite plans with regard to opportunities mentioned on the abovesaid article.

2. The Company as a policy has always kept the stock exchange informed of any material development that takes place and will also do so in this regard as and when any decision is finalised.
