Kamdhenu Brand Steel Sales Cross 1.13 Million MT in Q1 FY27; Captive Solar Plant Commissioned in Rajasthan

Steel and construction materials major Kamdhenu Limited (NSE: KAMDHENU, BSE: 532741) has released its provisional operational update for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27, ended June 30, 2026. Powered by its highly scalable asset-light franchisee model and an extensive domestic footprint of over 12,500 retail dealers, total steel volumes under the "KAMDHENU" umbrella registered double-digit year-on-year growth.

Strong Brand Volumes Reflect Resilient Infrastructure Demand

During the April-to-June quarter of 2026, Kamdhenu witnessed strong off-take across both its internal manufacturing operations and its expansive network of regional manufacturing partners:

Company's Own Manufacturing Sales: Directly managed production volumes rose to 32,231 Metric Tonnes (MT), registering a 6.8% expansion compared to the 30,178 MT clocked in Q1 FY25-26.

Franchisee Partner Sales: Shipments dispatched by the company's licensed franchisee partners climbed to 1,028,326 MT, tracking a healthy 8.9% year-on-year growth path over the 943,920 MT achieved in the corresponding prior-year quarter.

Core Brand Volume Aggregate: Combined sales of structural steel products under the core Kamdhenu Brand (Company + Franchisees) reached 1,060,557 MT for the three-month period, up 8.9% against Q1 FY26.

Billet Intermediaries and Grand Total: Steel billet volumes handled by franchise allies registered a significant 32.1% spike, jumping to 71,426 MT. Factoring in these raw steel volumes, the total consolidated sales footprint under the Kamdhenu Brand climbed 10.1% year-on-year to reach a provisional 1,131,983 MT in Q1 FY27.

Advancing Environmental Goals with New Captive Solar Facility

Alongside expanding its marketplace volumes, Kamdhenu successfully integrated backward cleaner technologies into its corporate infrastructure matrix to support its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) roadmap.

The steel maker confirmed the successful commissioning of a brand-new 5 MW Solar Power Plant located at Tehsil-Dechu in the Phalodi District of Rajasthan. Operationalized in June 2026, the utility-scale clean energy asset was engineered specifically for captive consumption, supplying zero-carbon electricity straight into the company's domestic processing units to replace conventional grid dependency.

Beyond shrinking the enterprise's carbon footprint, the project provides strong operational cost efficiencies. Management expects the solar array to reduce utility expenditure, translating to a direct electricity cost saving of approximately ₹4 to ₹5 crore annually. The clean power infusion marks a major step forward in Kamdhenu's corporate commitment toward sustainable development and the production of certified "Green-steel."
