Powerica Secures 100MW Wind Project bid from SECI's Wind Power Tender

Powerica Limited (NSE: POWERICA | BSE: 544744), has emerged as a winning bidder in the e-Reverse auction conducted by Solar Energy Corporation Limited (SECI) for purchase of power through competitive bidding process from 2,000 MW grid-connected Wind Power Projects. The company has successfully secured the bid for 100MW project. The electronic reverse auction was finalized on July 15, 2026, where Powerica Limited had submitted its competitive bid. The company's discovered tariff was ₹3.85 per unit. The Letter of Award (LOA) is expected to be awarded within the stipulated timelines prescribed in the tender document.

Project Execution and Grid Integration

Under the mandates laid out in the tender framework, Powerica Limited will enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the SECI.

The company entered the wind power sector in 2008 as an independent power producer ("IPP"). Subsequently, it developed capabilities as an EPC contractor as well as an operation and maintenance ("O&M") service provider for balance of plant ("BoP"). Its operations in the wind power sector include developing and operating IPP projects as well as undertaking EPC and O&M activities for BoP primarily within the wind power industry ("Wind Power Business").
