Uflex Ltd granted patent in India

Uflex Limited has been granted a patent by the Patent office Government of India (vide patent No. 595198) on July 13, 2026 for an invention entitled "A RECLOSABLE FLEXIBLE PACAKGE WITH ENHANCED BARRIER PROTECTION" for a term of 20 years commencing from the date of filing of the application viz., December 10, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the Patents Act, 1970.

The patent invention relates to the field of flexible packaging, specifically to a tamper-evident, re-closeable package for bulk products. More particularly, the invention addresses the need for a secure packaging solution that offers both tamper-evidence and barrier protection for the content till unopened, especially for sensitive products like food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and other industrial goods that require protection from environmental factors such as moisture and gases.
