Cosmic CRF Subsidiary's Target Unit Secures RDSO Prototype Approval for Railway Springs

Cosmic CRF Limited has issued a revised regulatory disclosure detailing a crucial technical milestone that satisfies a core condition of its pending asset acquisition. The company's subsidiary, Cosmic Springs & Engineers Limited, is in the process of taking over a manufacturing plant from Prilika Enterprises Private Limited, which has now received formal clearance from the Indian Ministry of Railways.

RDSO Approval and Production Allocation

The Research Designs & Standards Organisation (RDSO) in Lucknow, operating under the Ministry of Railways, issued an official communication granting Prototype Approval for Hot Coiled Helical Springs designed for freight stock. The approved components conform directly to standard RDSO Specification No. WD-01-HLS-94 (Rev.-5).

Under the framework of this prototype clearance, the plant has been authorized to accept commercial purchase orders for up to:

1,000 Wagon Sets or a total volume of 60,000 units of Hot Coiled Helical Springs.

This permitted total includes an initial tranche of 3,000 springs designated for mandatory, real-world field trials conducted under regulatory oversight.

Strategic Link to the Business Transfer Agreement (BTA)

This regulatory clearance is highly material for Cosmic CRF Limited because it directly impacts a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) executed on February 18, 2025. Under the BTA, Cosmic Springs and Engineers Limited (the subsidiary) agreed to formally take over the operations of the specialized "Spring Unit" facility located at the Jalan Complex.

The closing of the transaction and the physical transfer of the asset were structurally contingent upon the factory securing this exact technical authorization from the RDSO. With the approval now secured, Cosmic CRF expects to significantly strengthen its broader railway component manufacturing division and scale up its volume pipeline within the domestic rolling stock ecosystem.
