Rainbow Children's Medicare expands inaugurates 100-bed greenfield hospital in Rajahmundry

Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited (RCML), India's leading pediatric multispecialty and perinatal care hospital chain, today announced the commencement of its 100-bed greenfield hospital in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. This development strengthens RCML's footprint in the state, making Rajahmundry its third hospital in Andhra Pradesh, after Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Over the years, Rainbow has earned the trust of families across the region and has become a popular name in mother and child healthcare.

Strategically located between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, Rajahmundry serves as a natural demand centre for both east and west Godavari districts. With a large population base, steady economic activity from agriculture, aqua and allied sectors, and increasing urban development, the city is emerging as a strong demand centre for healthcare services. The hospital has been conceived as a regional hub to address healthcare needs across East and West Godavari regions, with affluent tier two cities, and adjoining districts together representing an addressable population of nearly 10-12 million.

The hospital adds 100 beds to RCML's network, providing the full spectrum of pediatric and perinatal care, including 24x7 consultant-led emergency care, advanced NICU and PICU care, specialty pediatric clinics, high-risk obstetrics, fetal medicine, laparoscopic gynecology, and fertility services under 'BirthRight by Rainbow'.

The Rajahmundry launch follows recent additions in Warangal and Guwahati, marking RCML's third new hospital in FY26. With these expansions, RCML's network has scaled to 22 hospitals and 5 clinics across 9 cities, with a total capacity of ~ 2,300 beds. This momentum reflects the company's disciplined execution of its growth roadmap, which combines greenfield developments with selective acquisitions to expand reach and diversify across high-growth healthcare markets.

Shares of Rainbow Childrens Medicare Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1488.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1482.65. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1111 in over 186 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1497.25 and intraday low of 1481.10. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1652888.00.
