DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited has been granted approval by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its 5th Remote Pilot Training Organization ("RPTO") at Dharwad, Karnataka, in association with the Karnataka Forest Academy. The RPTO will train 240 officials of the Karnataka Forest Department in DGCA-certified drone piloting and the applications of drones in forestry and surveillance. However, this center will not be limited to only the KFA officers but will also facilitate training for civilians. The DGCA granted its approval through its letter dated 11.07.2024, which was received by the company on 24.07.2024.
In addition to the new center in Dharwad, DroneAcharya operates DGCA-certified drone pilot training centers in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab. Apart from DGCA-certified drone pilot training, all our centers also provide other Drone centric courses like Drone Building, Drone Data Processing and GIS, Aerial Cinematography, Python for Drones and application-based courses like Drones in Agriculture and Drones in Disaster Management. The establishment of the Dharwad center marks a significant milestone in our efforts to train officials and government personnel of the Karnataka Forest Department. "This initiative aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the department through the use of advanced drone technology enabling forest frontline staff to harness its potential in surveillance, search and rescue operations, and tracking activities related to wildlife conservation and poacher deterrence", comments Prateek Srivastava, Founder and Managing Director of DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited.
This expansion underscores our dedication to nurturing talent for the rapidly growing drone industry, which demands highly trained and certified professionals in roles such as Drone Pilots, Data Analysts, Developers, and Entrepreneurs. Through our comprehensive training programs, we strive to contribute significantly to the development of a skilled workforce capable of leveraging drone technology for various applications, thereby supporting the broader vision of transforming India into a global leader in drone innovation and deployment.
