DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited (hereafter referred to as "DroneAcharya") has bagged the largest FPV (First Person View) drone supply export order in India to date, valued at INR ₹15.01 Crore. This order, consisting of the supply of 5,000 units of FPV drone kits and components, is expected to be the first of many such orders for DroneAcharya. The execution of this order will be in partnership with their Thailand-based group company, Drone Entry (Thailand) Co. Ltd.
The order follows the company's announcement of their Financial Year 2023-2024 results and their growth plans for the upcoming financial year, with a focus on Drone sales and manufacturing. DroneAcharya has developed a range of FPV Drones for various applications, including surveillance, security, logistics, cinematography, and sports. Mr. Prateek Srivastava, Founder and Managing Director at DroneAcharya, highlights that these drones are ideal low-cost options for these sectors.
"With the Indian Government encouraging Indian drone companies through Make in India policies like the PLI (Production-linked Incentive), the ban on drone imports, and the Drone Shakti scheme, India is on its way to becoming a Global Drone Hub by 2030, echoing the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Mirroring these sentiments, DroneAcharya is poised to put India on the map for the export of Make in India Drones globally", he adds.
DroneAcharya's FPV Drones, which have undergone rigorous trials in Pokhran and Lachung within the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Command of Indian Army, have proven to be rugged and costeffective tactical platforms for the Indian Defence. With this order, DroneAcharya paves the way for a new market, opening up India's technology to global markets to meet the increasing demand for drones through Make in India initiatives.
DroneAcharya has extensive experience working with Indian Defence Organizations, including supplying drones, providing drone pilot training and data processing training, and setting up drone labs. FPV drones, aside from their industrial uses, are also critical technology for Defence, and DroneAcharya, as a trusted partner of various Defence organizations, is well-positioned to cater to this growing demand.
