G E Shipping takes delivery of a 2013 built Medium Range Product Tanker 'Jag Prachi'

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) took delivery of a 2013 built Medium Range product tanker "Jag Prachi" of about 51,486 dwt. The company had contracted to buy the vessel in Q4 FY24.

Including this vessel, the Company's current fleet stands at 44 vessels, comprising 30 tankers (6 crude carriers, 20 product tankers, 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers aggregating 3.46 mn dwt.

This vessel is financed entirely from internal accruals. The purpose of the acquisition is expansion of the fleet.

Shares of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 993.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 981.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 8904 in over 640 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1004.65 and intraday low of 975.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 8850583.00.
