Tata Power Q2 results Postponed due to MERC tariff order

Tata Power Company Ltd has announced that Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission has issued a Tariff Order which entail significant shift from hitherto followed principles of revenue recognition and basis of allocation of certain expenses to Licensed Area business.

In order to ascertain the implications of the said Order on the 2nd Quarter Results, the Company has decided to postpone the consideration of the audited financial results for the quarter/ half-year ended September 30, 2006 (Q2) to November, 2006.
