Rain Commodities subsidiary Rain Industries Ltd to expand capacity

Rain Commodities Ltd has announced that Rain Industries Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, manufactures 1,400,000 MT of Cement in two facilities having an installed capacity of 1,000,000 MT at Ramapuram, Nalgonda District (Unit-I) and 400,000 MT at Boincheruvupalli Village, Kurnool District (Unit-II).

Further the Company has announced that the Board of Directors of Rain Industries Ltd (WOS of the Company) at its meeting held on October 19, 2006, has approved the expansion of its Plant Capacity in Unit-II situated at Boinchenwupalli Village, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh from 400,000 MT to 1,900,000 MT of Cement.

With the above expansion, the combined (Unit-I & Unit-II) cement manufacturing capacity of Rain Industries Ltd (WOS of the Company) will go up from 1,400,000 MT to 2,900,000 MT.
