ACC projects further demand growth for cement

ACC Ltd has announced the following Outlook:

Outlook:

The cement industry recorded a growth rate of about 9.44% during the calendar year 2005 as compared to 8.27% for the previous period. During the nine months Jan-September 2006, it grew around 11.9% as compared to 9.5% for the corresponding period of previous year. The economy has recorded robust growth in the current year which is expected to give further impetus to cement demand growth.

New Projects/Modernisation:

The projects for Lakheri expansion of capacity with 25 MW Captive Power Plant and Bargarh expansion with 30 MW Captive Power Plant are progressing as scheduled.
