Vijaya Bank announces Q2 results, net profit up 36.34% YOY

Vijaya Bank has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2006:
The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 1023.30 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 750.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 6655.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 7459.90 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
Further the Bank has informed that, the Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend of 10% to the shareholders for the financial year 2006-07.
