Unichem Laboratories receives ANDA approval from USFDA for Carbamazepine Tablets USP

Unichem Laboratories Limited has received ANDA approval for its Carbamazepine Tablets USP, 200 mg from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market a generic version of TEGRETOL® (Carbamazepine) Tablet, 200 mg of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.

Carbamazepine Tablets are indicated for use as an anticonvulsant drug and in the treatment of the pain associated with true trigeminal neuralgia. The product will be commercialized from Unichem's Goa Plant.

Shares of Unichem Laboratories Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 296.60 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 284.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 6756 in over 751 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 299.00 and intraday low of 282.80. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1979651.00.
