The Ramco Cements Ltd wins Best Performing Wind Farm Awards For The Year 2021-22

Indian Wind Power Association has recognised The Ramco Cements Ltd's Wind farms as the Best Performing Wind farm in above 2 MW category for the following:

1. Zone I - Tamil Nadu - Aralvoimozhi and Cumbum Pass
2. Zone II - Tamil Nadu - Veeranam, Poolavadi and Ottamadam

The awards were based upon evaluation on following parameters:

a. Average machine availability
b. Capacity factor
c. Age of the Wind Farm
d. Cost of maintenance per unit generated
e. Reactive power drawl
f. Waste land development activities
g. Accidents
h. Community service activities
i. Innovative measures

Even before de-carbonisation had become as imperative as it is today, the company had begun itsr journey in harnessing green power as early as 1992-93 which has become a critical part of the organisation now. What began as 4 MW, has now reached a capacity of 166 MW, including the subsidiary. The green power mix is more than 45% of the total captive power capacity.

Shares of The Ramco Cements Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 665.55 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 670.60. The total number of shares traded during the day was 22348 in over 1796 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 685.00 and intraday low of 658.25. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 14925196.00.
