GHCL Limited has completed the divestment of its Home Textile business to Indo Count Industries Limited effective 2nd April 2022, after obtaining all relevant regulatory and shareholders' approvals.
The total consideration for divestment of the Home Textiles Business has been calculated at INR 608.30 crores (subject to validation of customary closing date adjustment of working capital in terms of the definitive agreements). The divestment of GHCL's Home Textile Business is a significant value unlocking exercise for all its stakeholders. This move will enable the management to focus on the strategic growth pillars of Chemical and Spinning businesses. The proceeds of the sale will be used to further initiatives such as Greenfield project, product basket expansion, clean energy and ESG initiatives, automation and exploring opportunities to enter into JVs.

Shares of GHCL Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 578.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 547.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 81034 in over 3490 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 584.05 and intraday low of 549.45. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 46140802.00.
Shares of Indo Count Industries Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 169.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 159.20. The total number of shares traded during the day was 48875 in over 1519 trades.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 170.00 and intraday low of 158.05. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 8099522.00.
