HPCL clarifies on news item regarding Egypt's Alexandria

With reference to the news item appearing in the leading financial daily title "HPCL eyes 50% in Egypt's Alexandria', Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has clarified that the news item has not been originated by the Company. As and when any matter that requires disclosure is firmed up with all due approvals from Board, Govt. of India etc.

The Corporation will ensure that the disclosure requirements are complied with as and when firm development takes place on activities concerning the Corporation.
