Bajaj Auto Limited has announced the sales performance for the month of January 2022. The company has reported total sales of 363,443 units in January 2022 as against 425,199 units in January 2021, registering a drop of 15% YoY. The company clocked exports sales of 213,787 units during January 2022, 16% lower than 254,442 units in January 2021. The domestic sales dropped 12% to 149,656 in January 2022 as against 170,757 units in January 2021.
Commercial Vehicles sales decreased 1% YoY to 40,013 units in January 2022, as compared to 40,263 in January 2021. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was at 25,853 units in January 2022, as against 26,910 in January 2021. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles increased 6% in January 2022 to 14,160 units as compared to 13,353 units in January 2021.
The company has sold 323,430 units of two-wheelers during January 2022, as compared to 384,936 in January 2021, a drop of 16% YoY. Exports of motorcycles was down 17% YoY at 187,934 in January 2022, as against 227,532 in January 2021. Whereas, the domestic sales of motorcycles decreased 14% YoY to 135,496 units in January 2022 as compared to 157,404 units in January 2021.
