PTC India commenced power supply to KSEB Limited under MoP Pilot Scheme-II

PTC India Limited, the leading provider of power trading solutions in India, has announced commencement of power supply to Kerala State Electricity Board under Pilot Scheme-II of Ministry of Power, GoI. 270 MW Power supply starts w.e.f. 1st January, 2022 from Jindal India Thermal Power Limited Project in Odisha to Kerala under medium term for 3 years.

PTC India Ltd was selected as Aggregator to facilitate the purchase and sale of power. Tariff was discovered @ Rs 3.26 per unit through competitive bidding process at DEEP e-bidding portal and was the lowest tariff under a medium term contract. PTC has also tied up power under the Scheme with TANGEDCO and JKPCL. Supply is expected to start soon.

Dr. Rajib K. Mishra, CMD (Addl. charge), PTC mentioned "These medium term PPAs will reduce the power purchase cost of Discoms and full quantum under MOD can be scheduled. Generators would also be able to service their debt obligations and run the plants smoothly having 3 years contracts. These Pilot Schemes of Ministry of power are very beneficial for all the stakeholders of the power sector."

Shares of PTC India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 108.95 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 106.50. The total number of shares traded during the day was 32595 in over 754 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 109.45 and intraday low of 107.90. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 3537743.00.
