IRDAI approves merger of Exide Life Insurance with HDFC Life

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has vide its letter dated December 31, 2021, provided its approval for the acquisition of 100% of the equity share capital of Exide Life Insurance Company Limited by the Company and granted in-principle approval for the proposed merger of Exide Life Insurance Company Limited into HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited (HDFC Life).

Shares of HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 648.80 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 640.95. The total number of shares traded during the day was 137241 in over 5860 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 654.90 and intraday low of 642.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 89125067.00.
