Bajaj Auto Ltd posts 9% YoY drop in September 2021 sales volume

Bajaj Auto Limited has announced the sales performance for the month of September 2021. The company has reported total sales of 402,021 units in September 2021 as against 441,306 units in September 2020, registering a drop of 9% YoY. The company clocked exports sales of 209,673 units during September 2021, 1% lowher than 212,575 units in September 2020. The domestic sales was down 16% to 192,348 in September 2021 as against 228,731 units in September 2020.

Commercial Vehicles sales increased 12% YoY to 40,985 units in September 2021, as compared to 36,455 in September 2020. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was at 22,582 units in September 2021, as against 27,224 in September 2020. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles increased 99% in September 2021 to 18,402 units as compared to 9,231 units in September 2020.

The company has sold 361,036 units of two-wheelers during September 2021, as compared to 404,851 in September 2020, a drop of 11% YoY. Exports of motorcycles was 1% higher YoY at 187,091 in September 2021, as against 185,351 in September 2020. Whereas, the domestic sales of motorcycles decreased 21% YoY to 173,945 units in September 2021 as compared to 219,500 units in September 2020.

Shares of Bajaj Auto Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 3844.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 3832.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 12198 in over 1818 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 3879.15 and intraday low of 3805.85. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 46876998.
