Neyveli Lignite Q1 net profit up at Rs.281.37 Crores

Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd has announced the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 2813.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 2238.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 7610.10 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 9259.30 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.1.68 for the Quarter ending June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.1.33 for Quarter ending June 30, 2006.

The stock closed the day at Rs.81.20, up by Rs.2.75 or 3.51%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.84.30 and low of Rs.80.30. The total traded quantity was 3737786 compared to 2 week average of 469250.
