Essel Propack Q2 net profit down to Rs.90 Million, down 7.22% YOY

Essel Propack Ltd has announced the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 97 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 673 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 825 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Consolidated results are as follows: The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 206 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 230 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2342 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 3021 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.0.58 for the Quarter ending June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.0.62 for Quarter ending June 30, 2006.

The stock closed the day at Rs.64.40, down by Rs.0.45 or 0.69%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.66 and low of Rs.64.10. The total traded quantity was 29109 compared to 2 week average of 43539.
