Bharti Airtel Group Company acquires 4.99% stake from Vodafone in the company

Pursuant to the announcement made earlier in February 2007, Bharti Airtel Ltd has announced that one of its group Companies has acquired a 4.99% direct interest in Bharti Airtel Ltd from Vodafone.

With this, Bharti has enhanced its voting interest in Bharti Airtel Ltd., to over 50%.

The stock closed the day at Rs.883.10, up by Rs.19.80 or 2.29%. The total traded quantity was 230918 compared to 2 week average of 228171. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.894.40 and low of Rs.858.
