BIFR orders discharging GTC Industries from the purview of SICA

GTC Industries Ltd has announced that since the net worth of the Company had turned positive by Rs 3,882.98 lacs as per the audited accounts of the Company as on March 31, 2007, the Company had filled an application to the BIFR for discharging the Company from the purview of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 (SICA). In response to this aforesaid application, the Hon'ble Board For Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) has passed an order dated July 04, 2007 thereby discharging the Company from the purview of SICA.
The stock was trading at Rs.223, up by Rs.8.65 or 4.04%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.228 and low of Rs.211. The total traded quantity was 175039 compared to 2 week average of 205640.
