Varroc Engineering Limited, a leading global tier-1 automotive supplier, today announced the appointment of Avijit Roy as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and reporting to Arjun Jain, Whole Time Director & CEO - Business I, effective 10th April 2026.
In this role, Avijit will spearhead Varroc's group human resources strategy, driving a people-first, future-ready agenda aligned with the company's growth ambitions across India and key international markets. He will focus on strengthening organizational capability, enabling a high-performance culture, and accelerating talent transformation in an increasingly digital, technology-led mobility ecosystem.
Avijit succeeds Kavita Kulkarni, who has served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer for the past seven years. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping Varroc's people strategy, leading key initiatives across talent development, leadership building, and future-ready workforce planning. Her contributions have been instrumental in strengthening Varroc's organizational resilience and building a robust global talent pipeline. Avijit brings over 27 years of rich experience across the automotive and manufacturing ecosystem, having held senior HR leadership roles with leading global organizations. Most recently, at the Aditya Birla Group, he served as Senior Vice President - Global Human Resources, where he led the large-scale people strategy and transformation for a multibillion-dollar business spanning 14 countries and 19 locations bringing a distinctive blend of global perspective and strategic depth to Varroc.
Prior to this, he held key leadership roles across Asia and India, including Regional HR Head- Asia, where he drove transformative people initiatives across diverse markets, supported business expansion including China market entry, and led large-scale workforce and industrial relations strategies in complex manufacturing environments.
