Tech Mahindra Ltd has announced that Randall Stephenson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), the worlds largest telecommunications company, visited the Company on July 12, 2007 and dedicated a state of the art, multi-vendor, multi-services, next generation telecom R&D centre.
The Company's R&D centre provides product design and engineering services to telecom equipment manufacturers, ranging from core network elements to access devices, set-top boxes and mobile handsets. Apart from product development and lifecycle management services, the centre specializes in interoperability and interconnect services, an Increasingly critical requirement in, today's heterogeneous telecoms environment.
Mr. Stephenson said "I am delighted to be making my first visit to India and it is a great honour to dedicate this new Tech Mahindra R&D centre. In the few days that I have spent in India I have been impressed by the levels of energy, skill and dedication of the people I have met. I am certain this new facility will help to nurture a new generation of innovators and leaders."
During his visit, Mr. Stephenson experienced the Company's depth of expertise in the telecom ecosystem, ranging from customer experience solutions to device level R&D capabilities.
