Ispat Industries Updates on MOU with Chhattisgarh Government

With reference to the earlier announcement dated January 10, 2007 regarding in supersession of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into on January 10, 2007, Ispat Industries Ltd has announced that the Company on June 04, 2007 have entered into a revised MOU with Government of Chhattisgarh for setting-up a coal-based 1200 MW power project. The proposed power project shall entail an investment of approximately Rs 5,300 Crores.
The implementation of the MOU would be taken up by the Company after obtaining all requisite approvals.
The stock closed the day at Rs.15.30, up by Rs.0.10 or 0.66%. The total traded quantity was 976191 compared to 2 week average of 698528. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.16.05 and low of Rs.15.25.
