Tesco to take stake in Trent Hypermarket Limited

Trent Hypermarket Limited ("THL") operates the Star Bazaar retail business and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trent Limited ("the Company").

Tesco PLC, UK ("Tesco") and the Company are in discussions regarding an investment by Tesco in THL. Tesco is in the process of making an application to the Government with respect to the proposed investment. The Company has decided to support the application.

Shares of Trent Ltd was last trading BSE at Rs.1159.95, down by Rs.21.20 or 1.79%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1199 and intraday low of Rs.1150.

The total traded quantity was 0.20 lakh shares as compared to 2 week average of 0.21 lakh shares.
