Volatility Index fell by 1.11% - Microsec

Nifty moved between 5860 and 5940 on Tuesday before closing almost flat at 5892. The short term range for the index is 5680-6000.

Nifty Call options of strike 6000 added 25,814 lots to open interest while Nifty Put options of strike 5700 had a build up of 15,793 lots.

Nifty Put Call ratio (OI) stands at 1.30 with the total open interest in Call options at 1,507,715 lots and that in Put options at 1,965,881 lots

IFCI Ltd, Yes Bank, NHPC, OFSS and UCO Bank appear relatively strong while ITC Ltd, Reliance Industries, REC Ltd, Ultratech Cement, Grasim Industries and Asian Paints are likely to remain weak.

Volatility Index fell by 1.11% from 27.02 to 26.72.
