Asahi Fibres to issue shares to promoters

Asahi Fibres Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on August 30, 2006, inter alia, has transacted the following:

1. Hon’able BIFR has appointed Shri R P M Tripathi as Special Director on the Board of the Company. The Board to promote of the appointment of Shri R P M Tripathi as Director of the Company.

2. Decided to issue and allot 60400000 equity shares of Re 1/- each on preferential allotment basis to Promoters and Strategic Investors.
